A Moment to Remember

Born with congenital heart disease, Cameron faced open-heart surgery at a young age, challenges no child should face alone. Through the encouragement, hope, and support provided by his wish experience, Cameron and his family found strength during an uncertain time, reminding them that they were not alone.
Inspired by that support and his own medical journey, Cameron set his sights on becoming a cardiologist. He went on to graduate summa cum laude with a 4.0 GPA in Biology Pre-Med, contribute to nationally recognized medical research, and play a role in studies improving care for children transitioning into adult heart treatment.
During medical school, Cameron faced another major heart surgery, yet the resilience and confidence built through years of community support helped him return to training with renewed determination. Now completing medical school, Cameron is beginning his cardiology residency at Oregon Health & Science University, carrying forward the hope he once received to help heal others.
